Betsy Cline, violin

Betsy Cline has been playing with Peninsula Music Festival since 2000, always the highlight of every year.

A native of Michigan, Betsy attended the Interlochen Arts Academy and University of Michigan, School of Music. Since moving to the Chicago area in 1973, she has been a member of the Lake Forest Symphony, Chicago Philharmonic, Ravinia Festival Orchestra and has played with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington DC, Elgin Symphony and other Chicago area orchestras.

In addition to maintaining a private home studio, she is on the faculty of the Music Institute of Chicago and is an active chamber musician.

Betsy is surrounded by musician family members: husband Roger, bassist in Chicago Symphony Orchestra, daughter Jenny (viola) and son-in-law Eugene (clarinet) in National Symphony Orchestra and son Dan, cellist in Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.
