Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 6, Op. 74, in b minor 

We welcome Elena Urioste back to the Festival. She appeared in 2014 performing Elgar's Violin Concerto. Prokofiev's Classical Symphony was first performed at PMF in 1954 conducted by Thor Johnson and most recently in 2004 conducted by Valentin Zhuk. Glazunov's Violin Concerto was first performed at the Festival in 1985 with Oscar Shumsky soloist and Paul Polivnick conducting. The most recent performance was in 2000 with Ilya Kaler. Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 was performed previously in 2000 with Victor Yampolsky conducting and the Allegro con Grazia movement in 1971 with Thor Johnson conducting.
