Pavel Gintov's last appearace at the Festival was in 2010 performing the Mozart Piano Concerto #17. His first appearance at PMF was in 2008 in the Liszt Piano Concerto #2. Beethoven's Coriolan Overture was last heard at PMF in 1994. Beethoven's 4th Piano Concerto was first performed at PMF in 1955 with Grant Johanneson, piano, and Thor Johnson conducting. Its most recent Festival performance was in 1986 with John Browning and Victor Yampolsky conducting. The Beethoven Symphony #5 was first heard at the Festival in 1987 and most recently in 2010, both conducted by Victor Yampolsky. Program notes for this concert...
